Abu Simbel temples. The Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples at Abu Simbel, a village in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt, near the border with Sudan.

Nubian Village. Nubia has one of the oldest civilizations in the world. 

Karnak S&L Show. This highly kitsch sound and light show is a 1½-hour Hollywood-style extravaganza that recounts the history of Thebes and the lives of the many pharaohs who built here in honor of Amun, but it is worth a visit particularly for a chance to walk through the beautifully lit temple at night.
